Nassau County Community College hosted the second Annual Civics Summit on Tuesday.

Students from 10 Nassau high schools learned the importance of their civic responsibilities as American citizens.

The summit was held by "Operation Democracy," which had the students with dignitaries, journalists and historians.

Helen Patton, the granddaughter of World War II Gen. George Patton, was the keynote speaker.
