Nassau county officials say people should feel safe attending public rallies and gatherings following Saturday’s attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman told News 12 he has taken extra steps to ensure high profile figures in the county have the protection they need.
He also says the former president spoke with him weeks ago about the possibility of a future campaign rally in Nassau County. Blakeman says he would welcome it.
