Police: 1 killed, 3 injured in multi-car crash on Sunrise Highway

The damaged vehicles and car parts were strewn along a 700-foot stretch of Sunrise Highway in the westbound lanes near Exit 50A.

Authorities say one person was killed and three others were injured in a seven-vehicle crash between Broadway and Lincoln Boulevard on Sunrise Highway in Sayville.
Police say a 911 call came in for the incident at 4:35 a.m.
The damaged vehicles and car parts were strewn along a 700-foot stretch of Sunrise Highway in the westbound lanes near Exit 50A. One of the vehicles was overturned.
Officers say four people were rushed to a hospital. Police say the operator of a 2002 Toyota Celica, Kelvin Saula-Bueno, 22, of Bay Shore, was pronounced dead at Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue.
Police say they are currently looking for the driver of a 2012 Mazda who fled the scene.
The westbound lanes near Exit 50 were shut down for several hours during the investigation. However, all Sunrise Highway lanes have since been reopened.
