Multiple fire departments responded to a three-alarm house fire in Island Park early this morning.

Nassau County fire officials confirmed the ongoing efforts to battle the fire at a home on Sunset Avenue.

The first calls began around 2 a.m.

It is not known if anyone was in the home at the time of the fire.

Nassau County police and fire marshals are conducting an investigation.

Officials say the fire briefly spread to the home next door, but firefighters were able to put it out quickly.

Firefighters are currently monitoring for hot spots.
