Train service has been restored in both directions on the Port Washington branch of the LIRR, according to the MTA.

Service was temporarily suspended Tuesday between Great Neck and Port Washington after a vehicle struck an LIRR bridge near Plandome.

The MTA said the 4:41 p.m. train from Grand Central to Port Washington was the first to operate through Port Washington following the incident.
