It’s back to school move in day for Hofstra University.
New students arrived on campus Thursday to the school’s band, tents with events and peers guiding them in the right direction.
The university’s president Dr. Susan Poser says it is nice to see the students’ smiling faces again, especially on the heels of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Everyone was here last year, but we were all in masks. So this year, we do not have masks. We have relaxed those rules. All our students still have to be vaccinated and they are, but we are we are no longer in masks so it’s just much easier to get to know people and talk to people,” says Poser.
Classes will officially kick off this Tuesday.
