Police say a motorcyclist is in serious condition after colliding with a dump truck in Amityville.

Police say the incident happened Wednesday around 3:15 p.m. 

According to police, Shawn Clarkson ,37, was riding a Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on Sunrise Highway when he hit the back of a dump truck that was stopped at a red light.

Clarkson was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the truck was not injured.
