WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: The air quality alert has been extended through Friday. Skies will be hazy across LI from time to time with moderate air quality.
Dry, warm weather continues Friday with the threat for pop up showers and storms returning this weekend. Most of the weekend will be dry with the best chance for some wet weather Sunday night into Monday. I also included a slight chance of isolated storms Tuesday afternoon. Long Island is now in a moderate drought the any rain will help.
OVERNIGHT: Partly cloudy and mild to warm with lows near 65. Light south wind. Sunrise: 5:24
FRIDAY: Warm with a mix of sun and clouds and haze. Nice beach weather. Highs near 82. South wind 5 to 10 mph. Sunset: 8:28
FRIDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy and mild. Lows near 65 with light south winds.
SATURDAY: Sun and clouds. Slight chance for a late day shower or storm. Highs near 80. Lows near 68
SUNDAY: Partly sunny with the chance for a few showers and storms during the afternoon. Warm and humid with highs near 80. Good chance for showers and storms at night with lows near 69.
