City officials said that with many Muslim community members celebrating the end of Ramadan, they felt that it was a great opportunity to encourage COVID-19 vaccines and address vaccine hesitancy.

“Whether they are at restaurants or shopping for goods, there are a lot of people that will be down here. It’s an opportunity to have that visibility and remind them how important it just to get vaccinated,” says Paterson first lady Farhanna Sayegh.
Sayegh says that there is a lot of vaccine misinformation being spread online. She says that it is everyone’s duty to combat such misinformation.
