A North Bellmore family says an oil company has created a giant mess.Angela Kramer says she received a 200-gallon oil delivery at her home on Regina Avenue Monday. The problem, she says, is that they haven't had an oil tank for years.Kramer says the oil company returned to pump the oil out, but that she still has other headaches. She says LIPA had to turn off the power so there wouldn't be an explosion due to the oil. Kramer says she is still trying to get LIPA to turn the power back on so her pipes don't freeze.
Affordable Fuels, the company that made the oil delivery, says it arranged for the family to stay in a hotel. The state DEC is investigating and overseeing the cleanup.
