A Mineola man
has been sentenced to a year
behind bars for beating
two puppies to death and injuring a third.
Ellie
Knoller pleaded guilty in March to three counts of felony aggravated cruelty to
animals.
As part of his sentence, Knoller will also be face five years’ probation and a
50-year ban of owning animals.
Prosecutors
say the 32-year-old beat two dogs so badly in 2019 that their internal organs
were damaged.
A third
dog Bella lived, but had injuries so bad her leg had to be
amputated.
