The curfew in New York State will be lifted entirely for outdoor dining areas on Monday.
Restaurants in Freeport's Nautical Mile had tables set up outside Saturday and soon they'll be able to keep them out there past midnight.
Long Islanders told News 12 Long Island that while it will be good for the economy and small business owners, it's still important to bring a mask.
"We're outside, we finished work, we are coming out, we want to have a drink and have some dinner, and we want to enjoy ourselves. We also still want to be safe," said Joe Ida, Rockville Centre. "I think if you're vaccinated it's OK. I think if you're not vaccinated, you're taking a risk."
The indoor curfew for bars and restaurants will also be lifted on May 31.
