Tonight was the second round of meetings on Gov. Andrew Cuomo's LIPA reconfiguration.

Last night, hundreds of people packed a meeting in Old Westbury, where they were given the opportunity to give their feedback on the proposed downsizing of LIPA.

Cuomo wants New Jersey-based power company PSEG to take over all operations from National Grid, including storm preparations and restoration. He also plans to downsize LIPA, making it responsible only for areas such as billing.

Some are in favor of PSEG taking over LIPA's duties, but union officials have serious concerns about whether the company will keep Long Islanders working for the utility.

The governor is hoping to have the move approved in two weeks.

Tonight's meeting was held at Western Suffolk BOCES in Dix Hills.
