? Mayor Michael Bloomberg says Bronx and city residents are in the middle of the worst blizzard in recent history.
The mayor held a press conference Sunday where he urged people in the Bronx to stay warm and keep off slick roads. City officials estimate so far, road crews have used some 50,000 tons of salt to try and keep roads safe to drive, but they say it?s still best to stay home. Mayor Bloomberg says the city was ready for the snow and blistering cold and he believes workers were on track with their response.
More than 200,000 tons of salt are ready to go as crews continue to patrol the streets.
