A Manorville man accused of trying to solicit sex from a 15-year-old girl in Babylon has allegedly made other advances toward teens in the past.
Suffolk police had been looking for Andrew Quattrone, 38, for about two weeks before he was finally arrested Wednesday afternoon.
Police say Quattrone approached a 15-year-old girl in a parking lot just off Main Street in Babylon on May 13. They say he handed the girl a phone with a sexually explicit message on it, and asked her to perform a sex act.
Suffolk police say when a friend of the teen walked over, Quattrone took off. A photo of him and his car were later released to the public.
News 12 has learned that this wasn't the only time Quattrone has been accused of similar crimes.
Back in 2019, Quattrone allegedly tried to get two 14-year-olds in Massapequa Park to make an adult video with him. He was placed under house arrest as he awaited sentencing because he was battling cancer.
But he then was put back in jail because he allegedly sexted a nurse who was taking care of him.
And in 2014, Quattrone was arrested for allegedly going to a Levittown school and trying to get an 18-year-old to appear in a pornographic movie. He pleaded guilty and spent 90 days in jail.
Quattrone is facing several charges including endangering the welfare of a child. The judge set bail at $250,000.
