The Syosset man who threw bricks off a highway overpass was sentenced to five years behind bars Monday.

Jacob Palant was convicted of tossing bricks onto passing cars on the Meadowbrook Parkway in Uniondale in 2015.

Two people were injured by the bricks, with one driver suffering permanent eye damage.

Palant's accomplice, Andrew Denton, is already serving a 10-year sentence for the crime.
