Police say the man tried to steal clothes from Saks Fifth Avenue on Walt Whitman Road earlier this week.
According to police, a worker tried to stop him and then the suspect threatened them with a knife.
Police say the suspect dropped the clothing and sped off in a black Nissan Altima.
