Police are searching for the man they say robbed a supermarket in Hewlett.
According to police, the man walked into the King Kullen on Peninsula Boulevard on Sunday, stole several items and then tried to leave without paying.
A security guard tried to stop him and the two got into a fight.
The suspect dropped the merchandise then ran out of the store.
