A dispute between two men ended with a stabbing Thursday night in Levittown, according to Nassau police.
Investigators say David McCarthy, 41, got into an argument with the 28-year-old victim outside of a residence on Haven Lane.
McCarthy is accused of stabbing him in the leg before fleeing the scene around 5 p.m.
The victim sustained a severe laceration and was hospitalized for treatment.
Authorities have yet to release information about his condition.
Police say they located and arrested McCarthy following their investigation that same day.
He is facing charges for assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
His arraignment took place Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
