Michael Ramos walked into the courtroom with a blank face, handcuffed and escorted by three court officers.

The judge sentenced him to six years in prison and three years parole.

In the spring of 2023 police say Michael Ramos held a 14-year-old foster girl and her younger brother captive inside his Eastchester Gardens apartment for months.

Court records say he beat the two children with a wooden bat, cutting and puncturing their bodies with a sword and repeatedly holding a loaded gun to their heads.

The two victims spoke in court today saying “I trusted you Michael, you disappointed us by abusing us,” said the girl victim. “We are happier now with our new foster home," said the boy victim.

The two victims have an order of protection against their abuser until 2047.
