Man indicted for murder of lifelong friend in Wyandanch shooting

A man accused of murdering his lifelong friend in Wyandanch has been indicted for murder, according to authorities.
The Suffolk District Attorney says Gerald Neal, 50, shot Terrance Mitchell multiple times in 2019 and then left his body in the woods along Spruce Lane.
Investigators later found a pistol, casings and blood stains inside Neal’s car.
He has pleaded not guilty. He faces 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
