Suspect charged in violent beating of MTA bus driver in Yonkers

A North Amityville man accused of fatally shooting an acquaintance was arrested on Saturday, according to police.

Authorities say they responded to a 911 call reporting a man with a gunshot wound at 9 Francine Ave.

Robin Moscoso-Hernandez, 17, of Bethpage was rushed to a hospital in West Islip and pronounced dead.

Police say 20-year-old Bryan Ventura-Ramirez resides at the home where the shooting took place. He has since been charged with manslaughter and criminal possession of a firearm. Authorities say he is set to be arraigned Monday in Central Islip.

No word yet on what led up to Moscoso-Hernandez being shot.
