An arrest has been made in the fatal shooting of a Central Islip man over the weekend.
Suffolk police say Jeremias Anariba-Moran was charged with second-degree murder and will be arraigned on Wednesday.
Police say that “Gustavo Godinez-Carcamo was sitting in a parked vehicle in the driveway of his home, located at 10 Anne Lane, when a passenger in the vehicle shot him at 11:52 p.m. The suspect fled the scene on foot.”
Godinez-Carcamo, 40, was pronounced dead at South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore.
Anariba-Moran, 47, is also from Central Islip. Details surrounding a motive for the shooting have not yet been released.
