A pedestrian was hit by a car in Nassau County late Monday night.
The incident happened as the vehicle was traveling east on Jericho Turnpike near Village Lane around 9 p.m. in Woodbury, according to Nassau police.
The 34-year-old male victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
Detectives tell News 12 the driver of the 2005 Honda stayed at the scene.
No other injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing, police say.
