Man convicted of sex trafficking women at Sayville Motor Lodge

The lodge was previously raided in 2022. The owners were charged with allowing and aiding sex trafficking.

A man has been convicted of sex trafficking women at the Sayville Motor Lodge on Sunrise Highway.

Authorities say Michael Johnson was found guilty of using drugs, physical and emotional abuse to control his victims.

The lodge was previously raided in 2022. The owners were charged with allowing and aiding sex trafficking.

Johnson faces 15 years to life in prison.
