A man was arrested Wednesday and charged with committing a lewd act in a parking lot of 550 Smithtown Bypass in Hauppauge.

A call to police at 2:30 p.m. described a man masturbating near a parked vehicle in the parking lot.

Ronald Richardson was later arrested by Route 111 and Oak Tree Drive at about 3:15 p.m.

He's expected to be arraigned Thursday on public lewdness charges.
