Police have arrested and charged a man with trying to hold someone up with a hammer yesterday.
Police say Thomas Rivas, 19, tried to hold someone up in a Huntington parking lot in broad daylight with a roofing hammer.
According to police, Rivas was in the Waldbaum's parking lot on Wall Street around 1:30 p.m. when the incident happened.
Police say Rivas demanded a man's wallet and keys and the victim ran. Rivas was arrested several blocks away.
