A West Babylon man has been arrested in the thefts of property from fitness center lockers in Suffolk County.

Police say Carl Francois stole credit cards and wallets from both secured and unsecured lockers at LA Fitness locations throughout the county.

Police say Francois has been committing the crime since January.

Following an investigation, Francois was arrested during a traffic stop on Wednesday.

Francois is charged with 27 counts of criminal possession of stolen property and grand larceny.
