A Uniondale man is accused of attacking two public safety officers at NUMC.

Police say Michael Ammino was causing a disturbance outside the hospital Saturday night. When officers tried to get him to leave, police say Ammino became violent. He allegedly punched one of the officers in the face.

Ammino is charged with assault and menacing.

The officers were treated for their injuries.
