This morning. Our main street, Long Island series continues. We are heading to highlight our great local businesses every Monday and today we're in West Hampton Beach and News 12 G. Kicking it off this morning right now at Beach Bakery, Jen. I love this town. I love this main street. What are you telling us about this morning? I love it here too. Aaron and Rich. And it's not just a bakery. Actually, they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner right behind me here. But I've noticed that the bakery is really the hot spot. This morning. We have seen customers come in and out including Julie here. Julie just happened to, came in right before we went live and you said that you're a regular customer here. Regular customer here. I've been coming to West Hampton Beach Bakery here for the last like 25 summers and it's a staple in town. You know, they're known for their fried jelly croissants and my personal favorite of the black and white cookies. I can't, I, you can't go out a Saturday without one and then they have some stuffed chocolate chip cookies that are really good. My favorite cake is a chocolate mousse cake and a strawberry shortcake. And the list goes on. I mean, take a look at all these sweet treats here. Rashid. You are the owner of the bakery. You took it over five years ago. This place has been in business for 35 years and you guys have loyal customers for sure. Like Julie. Absolutely. It's been a pleasure to have been in business here and serve the community for the five years and we have many more years to go. What's the best part about having the business? Really in the heart of Main Street here? It's beautiful. We love our customers. This is a beautiful community. Uh A lot of the visitors, they come over here and they say your visit is not complete if you didn't stop at Beach Bakery and you guys make your own products here. Truly a made on Long Island business. So I'm gonna have to try one of those jelly croissants eat it. It's gonna get messy. So I'm gonna have to send it back to you guys in the studio. All right, Jen. It is Monday, which means we're heading out to one community to show off some of your favorite local businesses. Yep. This morning, our main street Long Island series continues in West Hampton Beach and our Gen Selig is making a stop at one trick pony right now, which we're told is a coffee shop by day and then a bar by night. Jem. I kind of like this idea. I know Aaron. Right. True to its name Mason there making coffee here early in the morning and then can, can you open up the cabinet right behind you to show people that you guys are a bar at night? That's pretty cool. So you're busy all the time here. You're busy all the time. We um are a many trick pony in here. Um It's really lovely. We're open seven days a week. We're really excited about that. Um Open at 7 a.m. Thursday, Friday, Saturday. We turn over, we completely transform the space um change the lighting, hide a lot of the things that you're seeing and turn over into a bar. We have game nights on Thursdays, we have trivia, we have bingo, we have live music um, oyster pop ups. We have all kinds of things going on all the time. We're having a really good time here, right on Main Street. And you're fairly new. I mean, I'm a little over a year old now. This is our second summer and we're really excited. We're mostly really excited because now we know what we're doing so we can have a lot more fun. And you guys serve food too. Right? We serve amazing breakfast and lunch. Everything's homemade in house, like literally right down to our ketchup. I know you don't live far from here. What's the best part about having your own business? Right here in West Hampton Beach? I would say this support has been amazing here. The community has welcomed us with open arms, they've been there, our best cheerleaders, our biggest support system literally feels like a family here. All the familiar faces that we see on a regular basis, but also the, you know, the people who are coming in for just a week long vacation are also just super excited that we're here and that, that is the reason why we do it honestly. Well, I hope to see more customers come in. I know you guys had a busy weekend and I'm not gonna lie. The coffee is delicious. So I send it back to you guys in the studio. All right. This morning. Our main street Long Island Series continues. We are heading out to highlight some of our great local businesses every Monday. We do this. Yep. And today we are in West Hampton Beach. Our Js shop this morning at Saltwater Jen has it going in there. I know they have such cool stuff in that store. I found my hat and you know what Aaron and Rich, it started off, which is a hat and a T shirt. And Joe seven years later turned this business into what it is today. And with me, I have Joe, you own the business with dad. You have three locations and it's all things. Long Island coastal. Yes, coastal comfort is what we do. It's, it's salt water in a nutshell. Basically, we started with a T shirt and hat and have grown this into over 100 different products. We design everything from fabric to final product. And I really want to show you one of my favorite products and our best seller, our beach, the boat shorts, you have to see these things. So basically I take water. If you're on the boat, it gets splashed up on you you got nothing better than this. If I put a little bit of water on these shorts, they do not get wet. So it just stays there nice and dry and then I jump it on the floor and someone's got to clean it up later. But yeah, so now we have our beach, the boat shorts. So many different products here. We love West Beach and the community here has just been the best to us. Supported us through and through. And I'm so grateful for them every single day. And what's so special about this fish. I mean, you see this fish on every single shirt. Yeah. My dad and I growing up used to go fishing, uh, every day at sunset catching our striped bass. So that's our logo, our striped bass. He's a little cuter of a striped bass without the stripes. But, um, started with just that dream of us going out every day. Fishing boating was our lifestyle. And now to today where it's just, you know, now we get to kind of live and live that lifestyle with our customers and we call them the saltwater family. The people that come in here are the best. They tell us, they show us their pictures of their fish. They show us, I'm on vacation yesterday. We had someone in Japan going, I'm wearing your stuff here in Japan all across the world. Now, we're shipping to, you know, Kansas and Iowa and all these places where I never expect saltwater to be. But really it comes back to home. It comes back to Long Island where I started this brand with my father and it's just been an awesome journey so far. That a dream. I'm taking this hat with me. Sorry Joe. I love it. It's beautiful in here. I'm gonna send it back to you guys. Now in the studio, when I interviewed Joe, I took the same hat, the pink ones the best. So do it, Jen. He will let you.

On Mondays. We focus on Long Island's many great main streets and news 12 Jen Selig has one for us. She is in West Hampton Beach at Goldberg's. If you're looking for a bagel in West Hampton Beach, this is the place to go to with me. I have Laurie and Craig. You guys are the co owners and talk to me about business. You've been around for 10 years serving regular customers. I've met some of them. Our customers are the best. Uh We've been here for 10 years like you said, we serve. It's a full service uh bagel shop deli and we have some really specially baked items that you can't get anywhere else. But here like the BKA right behind us. This is a, a special treat, right? Oh my God. That's what it's called actually, OMG BKA. It's artisan made handmade uh dairy free and it's got rich, deep, dark, delicious chocolate and cinnamon as you can see. And uh we're very proud of it and we sell hundreds of pounds of this. And you guys were saying how busy you were for Fourth of July. Oh, yeah. This bus, I, I think that this weekend happened to have been the best weekend we've ever had in West Hampton Beach. The whole town has been busy. Everyone has said it has never been like this before and we do have a whole new community of young people which we are seeing more and more of every single season. It's wonderful. What's the best part about having the business? Right on main street. Best part of having the business on main Street is that we're on Main Street and everybody wants to visit West Hampton Beach and rightfully so the town was just fixed up. Um They did the, they redid the whole town, uh probably about two years ago. And with that, we're getting tons and tons of new people, very young families, as I said before, I love to hear it. So let's eat a bagel for lunch and send it back to you guys in the studio.
