It is a Monday and that means that we are highlighting another local neighborhood and its small businesses. And this morning, our main street Long Island series continues in Massapequa News 12 Jig is on Broadway Gourmet bagel shop, telling us everything that's happening inside the bagel store. Great place to be on a Monday morning. A bagel store, Jen. Oh for sure. I mean all Long Islanders love their bacon, egg and cheese. And if you live in this community, you know that this is the spot to get your breakfast good. We got muffins, we got bagels and they just opening up their doors. So they're still setting up right now. But with me, I have some people from the Chamber of Commerce. You ladies, Janice and Robin. And so that there too, the gentleman, what's the best part about having a place like this right in the community? Because you told me maybe like seven o'clock, this place is packed. This is a staple in Massapequa and everybody comes to Broadway Gourmet. It's a, it's a hot spot here. Um We have wonderful businesses here in Massapequa. We're, we're all about community. We're all about family. This place, everybody shops here, they're giving to the community, they give to our street fairs. This is local to the community. They have the best bagels, the biali egg sandwiches, they go boxes, they give, um, for our street fair, we have our bagels there that everybody in the community comes out and sees Michael. The worker here is going to come out and give us their specialties, their salads. Uh, Michael, come on and talk about. We only have 30 seconds left but we know you guys order salads, bagels just a little bit of everything. And Michael, I know you were busy this morning putting together a big order. Good morning. Good morning. What is the fan favorite here? Fan favorite has to be a Colonel's rival. It's a chicken cot melted American cheese less made on Russian dressing on a roll. Oh my gosh. Sounds so good. That sounds like a nice lunch meal too. But you could serve it breakfast too. Breakfast. French toast bites usually go for chocolate chip pancakes. Crazy bagels, which very berry bagels. Very special. It's a blueberry bagel with blueberry and strawberry cream cheese with chopped blueberries and strawberries on top. We got to try that all out. It is a Monday and that means we are showing off some of our favorite local businesses. Our main street Long Island series continues in Massapequa. We have Jen and Jen is inside Sage and Cell Cell Night Holistic Spa boutique, Jen. What's going on over there when you walk in through those doors, you just instantly feel relaxed like I feel it right now. We got a bunch of crystals here. Absolutely beautiful in this room. And then when you step into this room, you could do a little bit of your shopping. I mean, they have a little bit of everything from head bands from to bags, home decor, so you could do your shopping. You can relax and you can get a facial too in the last room. I mean, who wouldn't want to do that with me? I have the owner Cher who's currently giving a facial right now. And Cher, you've had this business for almost four years now in Massapequa and the community is treating you really well. Yes, we absolutely love to be in mass. They're really, really tight. Um What's great is that whether we know a family or we don't know a family if something happens to them or like officer Diller or something happens, we all just kind of band together and just come as one. It's very prominent here. It's a very good thing to have in the community. I've seen that firsthand too. What do you offer here? It seems like a little bit of everything it is. It's a jumble. So we do things from Reiki healing and ear candling. We take the holistic approach to different types of facials and procedures, the Ayurvedic oil systems and such. We also do um deep cleansing facials, European facials and we offer free oncology, facials. So if you have cancer, we want you to feel a little pampered and not have to worry about paying for it. So you just give us a doctor's note that you're clear and we'll take care of you. That's so sweet. You basically like live here. I know you really treat this place like your home. You even built a Buddha garden right there. Your dad helped you. Yes, we absolutely love it. It's my Zen place. So um it was a very quick thing that we did, but it's one of my favorite spots. You could just come here and relax. I love that. We do workshops and we have events coming up. So readers and things like that. So definitely look us up. Sounds good. It's another Monday, which means that we are highlighting another local neighborhood and its small businesses this morning. Our main street Long Island Series continues in Massapequa. And now our Jen Selig is at Ultra Lanes in Massapequa. Telling us everything that, that has to offer Jan. You've been uh getting around town today and now you're bowling. Yes, Erin. If I could get one pin with this bowling ball. Oh man, that's embarrassing. We should have put up the bumpers. I don't care how old I am. I always need the bumpers. Brenda. You're the owner here. Talk to me about the hype here. The hype is, we are a fabulous family owned bowling center. It's called Masao Bowl. We've been here for over 35 years. We are one of the few that are privately owned right now. We, we, what makes it special is that we have the Globe Bowling, which is the music is on, the lights are out and we have a great video wall. We do a lot of birthday parties. Uh We have Globe Bowling day and night, all day and every day of the week. That's what we specialize in. We specialize in birthday parties, corporate events, every name it, we have it. We do every type of event literally and it's not just bowling. So we're gonna take a little walk around because this bowling alley is huge. And in this room next door, this is, this is where people can play darts. There's a full bar, pool tables, a little bit of everything. You guys have a party room as well. We have a private spacious party room. We could fit over 50 people. We do all our birthday parties there as well. Our adult parties we do in the lounge, which is fabulous. We also have incredible delicious food, yummy foods, like mozzarella, six chicken wings, quesadillas, pizza. What is this? We do shots, we do different shots for kids, of course, two shots. We do uh beer shots for the adults. Um and we also have a very beautiful, beautiful brand new arcade for all ages and I would like to walk you through. It's absolutely fabulous. And we have a brand new game, brand new games, state of the art, modern modern games, basketball. So we're gonna play some games because we're out of time and we're gonna send it back to you in the studio, Aaron. We're just having the blast here in Massapequa. You are and Jen, I have to say that you are among many people who need bumpers. So do not say that that was embarrassing. It was a good spot. Thanks Jim.

It is Monday. That means we are headed off to show some of our local businesses with our main street, Long Island segment and it continues in Massapequa this morning, our Jen Selig is at the popular restaurant burger telling us all about what they have to offer. Jen. Hey, this is a place you're going to want to be on the weekends and celebrate any type of celebration or occasion. You have. They do awesome parties here too and they take their burgers, their shakes, their drinks all to the next level. And with me, I have Maria and John getting behind the bar, you guys have six locations, six locations, one in Manhattan and one also now in US Arena. Yes, we are the burger for the New York Islanders. So talk to me, John, what do we got here on the bar? So today we wanted to do a little bit of everything for you. So we have our famous crazy milkshakes. So this is our surprise party, milkshake and this is our Rainbow cookie. A rainbow cookie is a long time staple for us. And then we have a Mimosa Tower. We have our science flash cocktails. We have a patron bottle margarita. And then for food today we're doing our famous baked mac and cheese in the skillet. We're doing our new taco salad in a fried crispy tosta shell. We're doing, oh, party's over, I guess. No, it's not, not here. Then we're doing an order of our new nachos which have been a, a huge hit for us with some pickled red onions on there. And I wanted to show you kind of a spin on our burgers to show some of our versatility. So we are doing a fusion burger down on the end there. And that's actually a marinated burger, which I think is very unique. So we marinate the burger for about an hour and a half, two hours and then we do a really nice sear on it and we really try to capture a lot of Asian flavors and des uh there's an Asian slaw on there. We're kind of almost like a healthy version of potato chips on your burger. John, you're making me so hungry. That was my goal. Uh So you have really nice crunch on that burger, which is great. And it's served always with our hand cut fries. You know, you got a bunch of locations. We're in Massapequa, what makes Massapequa stand out? Uh the people. Uh It's a really different uh town than uh well, all the towns that we're in are very different. But the uh the, the people that come in are great. They're like our family. We have a ton of regular customers. We know everybody by name. It's uh been, it been about seven years here now. So uh it's the same people and as soon as you walk in, I may not be here too often, but it's as soon as you walk in, hey John, it's almost like cheers. It's great. Uh great crowd. I love that. So we have so much food here. So we all gotta eat this and then sorry Aaron, we're gonna send it back to you in the studio. Don't worry, Jen, you burned it. Go sit down and take a big old bite of that burger and a sip of the shake. Thanks so much.

So many sweet treats we even have who need flowers when you got a candy bouquet right here. That's unique and the creative minds behind all this is Lauren and Jackie. Thank you ladies for waking up so early with us, talk to me about the business. So we are proud members of the Mass Chamber of Commerce. We have the best customers here in Mass. So great. Um Our store is always fun. Always happy. We have lots of kids coming on their bicycles for candy and filling up candy bags and getting their new the newest and hottest treats. Yeah. So this is, you know, a side job. You guys all have other careers. So when you come here, this place is extra special to be here. It is. We are such a happy part of the community. We specialize in our candy bouquets like you showed candy tables for sweet sixteens. We have nostalgia candy, which people love. We also have a dollar spot for our teachers and we have teachers coming from our community to buy treasures for their prize boxes for their students. So we really love giving back to the community as well and it's never too early for candy. Right. Absolutely not. All right. Let's eat some candy and send it back to you in the studio. Erin. On Mondays, we highlight our no, our local neighborhoods and its small businesses today. Our main street Long Island series continues in Massapequa and we stopped by a Zona for lunch. This is an Italian restaurant that's been a part of this neighborhood for 15 years. They offer panini salads and a variety of Italian dishes, including a fan favorite panel vaca, but for those who work there, they say the best part is being part of this area of this community and the people that dine with them, everyone is just like a great close family. We have regular people that come in every day and you all get so close and it's just an amazing place to live and work at. And we should mention that they also offer a number of gluten, free and vegetarian options.
