It is another main street Monday. We are taking the time every single Monday to show off our main streets across Long Island and the local businesses this morning, we are in Bay Shore. Our Jen Selig is at Tula kitchen right now, Jen. Great place to be on a Monday morning. Yeah, we just take a moment to see how beautiful this dining room is and don't let these empty tables and chairs for you because if you live in this area or if you come to be sure, especially on the weekends, you know, this place is usually packed out, they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and also juice. They have their very own juice bar here in the business and this is where everybody is at this morning, including the co-owner, Jackie and Lena. And you ladies have been serving this community recently. Now, 18 years. Your 18th anniversary serving nutritious, healthy and vegan friendly food. Yes. Hi, how are you? Um, yeah, we've been here 18 years. The juice bar opened up about a year ago and, um, we do juicing breakfast, lunch and it's an awesome place. Very, um, health oriented. We've been um, focused on healing people with food, which is really nice. I think that's the most important thing when it comes to eating. Um And taking care of your health. And 18 years, obviously, you guys are doing something really well for the community. You saw Bay Shore grow. I mean, over the last few years, this place has flourished. Yes, absolutely. And um we, we feel like we're a landmark here. Um You know, we joined when there were only five other spots open. Um And um we've loved every year seeing the town grow. Um and we recently have partnered with lots of businesses around the area to um encourage and welcome new residents. It's awesome. And I see the support all here this morning is Stacy and Susan, you ladies woke up early to uh kind of celebrate. What's your favorite part about the business? My favorite part about the business. Look, I've been coming here for years and to they were a pioneering, clean, clean eating. Um The only place you could really go locally where the food was fresh and, and, and now the breakfast bar is just an added bonus. I think my next time I celebrate my birthday, I have to come here with my friends and check it out. So there's plenty of other businesses in town. We're gonna check them out and send them back to you guys in the studio. Uh I am such a fan. Always such a great place to go to Jen. Thanks so much. We'll check back in a little bit.

Downtown Bay Shore News. Twelve's Jen Selig is at Drew Patrick's spa right now. Hey, Jen. Hey, you guys a little bit of everything here. So beautiful to go shopping. You can get a massage or facial and then you could go to the gym. We have some early morning customers here and we also have Drew, you're the owner of the business and there's so much to look at and so much to do here for everybody. Thanks, we're glad that you're here. Thanks for coming. Drew Patrick has been here since 2006. So we're about 17 years old. We're a day spa, medical spa. We have personal training and a Pilates studio next door. You're gonna go in there. Um And then of course, our store. So skincare gift wear um or gifts and clothing, something for everybody. And you're part of the chamber too. And you, you told me off camera that you have seen this place flourish as well. I mean, we have apartments, we have bars, we have spas. It's, it's a, a trip for everybody. Sure. Like you said, Bay Shore is really booming. I mean, over the years, there's been changes everywhere. We have thousands of new apartments. Um, within walking distance to downtown, you can walk to the ferries, you can walk to the train. It's really brought Bay Shore alive. What's your favorite part about Bay Shore? You know, the people of Bay Shore are my favorite part. We couldn't be here without, without them. There's a core group that just loves the town and, and our, our bread and butter and to reference this place used to be a bank. It was a bank. It was empty for about three or four years before we got here. There's gorgeous architecture here, you know, soaring ceilings and everything, it was covered up. So we sort of brought it back to life like Bayo, we brought the building back to life. Um Bay Shore has gone through so many changes, but it's thriving and I want to make sure that we can get a little sneak peek at some of the people working out this morning. We got Pilates here and we have Karen. You're a personal trainer. What's your favorite part about the business of the amazing people and a great community. And you guys are here early in the morning and we know Pilates is a hot thing and a lot of people want to be here. Absolutely. We do small groups, we do private training and private Pilates reformer. So if we're here early in the morning at 6 a.m. and we, we're here at night as well. I think I have to check it out. All right, I'm gonna send it back to you guys in the studio and stick around here for a little bit longer, putting in some sweat.

It is another main street Monday. We are taking the time every Monday to highlight some of our main streets across Long Island and the local businesses that are on them. That's right. This morning, we're in Bay Shore and that's where we find our Jen ceiling at Nalu dry goods right now, Jen. So many great places in Bay Shore that we've already seen from you this morning. Yeah, we at our final stop, I'm so ready to go to the beach after this, this place is just giving me the beach fives. We have skateboards, we have clothes, we got surfboards here. Store has a little bit of everything just talking about the coastal lifestyle. And with me, I have Marie, you're the owner of this business. We have a very early customer this morning to this is in the and you have been here for 11 years. Bay Shore is the place to be easily said. Oh, definitely. I mean, we've definitely had challenges with COVID and all those kind of other real estate issues, but we had a lot of support from the local um residents and we it helped us sustain business. You guys have tourists that come here. I mean, you have Long Island apparel. You got surfboards, but mainly the clothes is the hot items here. Definitely. We have a variety of items for adults and kids and I think people think we're just a surf shop but we have a lot of lifestyle items for the beach for boating, you know, any kind of summer activities and also winter. And you're from Hawaii and you're bringing all the fun vibes right here to Long Island in Bay Shore and I'm sure a lot of people appreciate that. Yeah, I feel like I fit right in. Everyone's been very welcoming and it's so easy to just enjoy the summers here and feel like I'm right at home. What's the best part about having the business right here on main street? Um There's a lot of activity going on. A lot of people um coming to be here now with the new restaurants and a lot of new retail. We have origin of era, which is an amazing um women's store. Um So we definitely have more retail building up here so people can walk the streets. I heard the sun is coming out soon. So let's do a little bit of shopping. Maybe we could go to the beach after hang out by the water and send it back to you guys in the studio. One of my favorite stores. Love it, Jen. You gotta go visit if you have not been. Thanks. It is another main street Monday every Monday, we show off our main streets across Long Island and the local businesses that line them today. Argen Selig is in Bay Shore having a blast, checking out all these businesses right on Main Street in Base. Sure. I'm pretty close to getting a bulls eye, not quite there, but you can get a bulls eye if you come to the penny P they are open seven days a week and this place is a staple right here on main street with me. I have the general manager, Michael Ryan here pouring out a glass of, of Guinness just getting up early to come talk to us. The business here is amazing. You guys have regular customers and obviously the town is treating you well. Yeah. Uh can't say enough about Bay Shore. This town has been amazing to us. Uh We've been here since 2015, but it was the halfpenny right before then. And we consider ourselves the cheers of the South Shore. We have the latest kitchen open in Bay Shore and we're always open from 12 to 3 a.m. What's the best part about being here in Bay Shore. The best part about being Bay Shore is definitely the different clientele. We have, you know, we have everybody every race, every range, uh, every age that comes in here, you know, during the day, it could be, you know, a 5560 year old man. And at night we have 2530 year olds. Obviously, this place is so special for you guys. You guys have been around for a really long time and the cool part is that I know when the restaurants close here people start to make their way to the pub. Yes, we are definitely the late night spot in, in town. Uh We're definitely a service industry bar. So if you get off your job at 1:02 a.m. you come to us, get a late night bite, come outside, play some pool, throw some darts and uh we also have giant Jenga connect four outside and you know, just have some great people to come down here and you guys are here to stay for a long time. Oh, yeah, we're not going anywhere. Love to hear that. So we're gonna check out some more businesses right here on main street and send it back to you guys in the studio.
