A framing and printing company in Medford ships out their products across the globe.
Parthenon Framing has been around since 1970 and they make all of their frames inside their 10,000 square foot facility.
You may not know it, but some of the artwork you see in galleries, museums, and hotels, like the Mandarin Oriental in Manhattan -- the framing for the artwork is made in Medford.
"We just did Margaritaville in Manhattan, we do the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, there's a show going on next month at the Nassau Museum," says George Bubaris, co-owner of Parthenon Framing.
George and Joan Bubaris took over Parthenon Framing in 2015. They work with many local artists and businesses. The couple says framing artwork is the finishing touch and they usually work on tight deadlines.
"It doesn't seem like framing should be an important business, but people have a lot of deadlines so one of the reasons as to why we're successful is because we're able to meet these deadlines - we are able to pick up the art, bring the art and make the art when people need it," says Bubaris.
The company creates unique frames for expensive pieces of art. With a lot of bubble wrap and other protective packaging -- they ship them all over the world.
They also print photos and artwork, using high-tech machines to cut the paper perfectly and precisely.
