Family and friends of a 15-year-boy who was fatally shot at McLaughlin Park in Downtown Brooklyn gathered Thursday to pay tribute.
Loved ones spelled out Unique Smith’s name with candles at the vigil by his family’s home in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Dozens of people came to pay their respects, including some of his teachers and friends.
Smith was shot Wednesday after getting into an argument with two individuals. When it turned into a fist fight, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot Smith in the abdomen.
Police say they are still looking for the person responsible for Smith's death and they urge anyone with information to contact the NYPD.
