Some Long Islanders will be putting their strength to the test for the cause at the Special Olympics Plane Pull.

Some Long Islanders will be putting their strength to the test for the cause at the Special Olympics Plane Pull.
Several local teams will line up for the contest to see who can pull a plane the farthest.
One of the teams will be led by Angel Athenas, a Huntington resident.
Athenas is the reigning Special Olympics power lifter and four-time gold medal winner.
She and the other participants will be competing for three awards; fastest pulls, lowest combined weights and highest fundraising team.
This is the first time the evening is happening on Long Island
All of the money will be raised for the benefit of the Special Olympics.
