Long Islanders are sharing their memories of Queen Elizabeth II, who was laid to rest today.
One local business owner, who says he once catered for and had a chance to meet the queen, says she was so down-to-earth that she drove herself to the event.
Antonio Trozzo, owner of Kensington Pies in East Meadow, says it's difficult to not be in London for the occasion but is inspired by all of the tributes.
Andre Bogdan, a former London resident, says he even set the clocks early to make sure he could catch some of today's coverage.
