If you are looking for a meal deal, Long Island Winter Restaurant Week is underway! For the first time, the three-course prix fixe menu for $25, $35 or $42 is available for dine in or takeout.
Today, News 12 is highlighting restaurants on Suffolk's South Shore.
Shandon Court in East Islip has so many choices on their Winter Restaurant Week menu! For starters, try their crab stuffed mushrooms or Guinness short rib empanadas. They offer Guinness braised short ribs as an entrée, as well as their herb crusted pan roasted pork filet and blackened chicken tortellini.
If you are in the mood for Italian, check out Bella Vie in Bay Shore. Start off with Caprese or some seafood. There’s calamari and shrimp in their fritto misto. Main courses include lasagna, chicken francese, short ribs and filet. Every meal comes with a beautiful water view!
And you can enjoy a view of the Great South Bay, and what they call "modern American coupled with Asian Fusion cuisine," at Whalers in Bay Shore. Pick from appetizers including crispy rock shrimp and grilled octopus. Finish up your meal with their apple pie wontons for dessert!
Also on the Great South Bay, you can visit View in Oakdale. There you can try appetizers including roasted Brussel sprouts, jumbo lump crab cake and steamed mussels. Enjoy entrees of Scottish salmon or slow braised short rib of beef while you cozy up to one of their three fireplaces.
Long Island Winter Restaurant Week runs through Sunday. Over 65 restaurants across Long Island are participating. CLICK HERE for the full list.
