Celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the iconic Long Island Wine Country are getting underway Friday, with dozens of deals exclusively for Long Island residents. 

Locals Week starts Friday and runs through April 2, with deals on drinks, tours, tastings and more as part of a yearlong celebration of winemaking on Long Island.

Sannino Vineyards in Riverhead is among those getting in on the celebration — offering a 50% discount on tasting flights for Long Islanders.

To be part of Locals Week, all you have to do is visit a participating winery and show your license. There are 27 wineries to choose from that are participating in Locals Week.
