Long Island Restaurant Week is underway, and every day this week News 12 will highlight participating restaurants. Today we go to the Suffolk County's south shore to highlight restaurants that are offering a three course meal for $35.
The Irish Coffee House in East Islip offers starters like tuna poke, mozzarella and tomato bruschetta and veal meatballs. Entrée options for Restaurant Week are Atlantic salmon and filet mignon.
The Babylon Carriage House is an actual carriage house that was built after the Civil War. In addition to the theming, they offer up a variety of seafood and steaks like Thai calamari on their menu.
The Lakehouse in Bay Shore offers up a night on the water with views of the Great South Bay. Their menu includes ricotta cavatelli or parmesan crusted local cod.
Many restaurants are also offering a $20 prix fixe lunch menu.
Long Island Restaurant Week runs through Sunday.
