PSEG Long Island, Island Harvest and Stop & Shop are teamed up to give back to the community by hosting an all-day food drive Friday.
The organizations hosted sixth Power to Feed Long Island event, which is sponsored by PSEGLI. The event took place at the Stop & Shop on Route 109 in West Babylon from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
"Part of it is opening up your heart and doing for others and I felt like this would make me feel good today," said Claud Winter, Babylon Village. "I'm glad I was here.
"It's amazing to see we hand somebody a bag, we hand somebody a list as they're walking in, and they come out with a bag filled with food," added Amy DiLeo, PSEGLI.
All the donations will be used to stock Food Pantries across Long Island.
