The "battle" is underway for local musicians vying for a spot at a Hudson Valley summer music festival.

Alexandra Dillon, from Chappaqua, and five other musical acts performed Sunday at Lucy's Garage, aiming for a chance to play at the 2024 Pleasantville Music Festival.

The performers from Sunday's event are vying for the opportunity to be the opening act at the festival's Chill Tent. Local musicians will also compete for opening slots at the festival's two other stages next month.

This year's Pleasantville Music Festival is set for July 13 at Parkway Field.
