Two people from Hempstead have been arrested after a loaded gun was found during a traffic stop.
Nassau police say they conducted the stop on Conklin Street in the vicinity of Waverly Place in Farmingdale. Officers found a loaded 9mm Ruger handgun inside the 2017 Hyundai.
Both occupants, Madison Nelson, 22, and Jakhi Baggett, 19, were arrested without incident.
According to police, Nelson and Baggett are charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm. Nelson additionally has multiple vehicle traffic law violations.
