That you're out on the roads. Yes. It's just a little like, you know, quick. Oh, there it is. And a quick chuckle. Right. Um, that's exactly what we're dealing with today. It's like a quick little cold plunge and tomorrow. Really? We're back to more seasonable types. So we have to contend with these colder temperatures just a little while longer. We do get to stop freezing later on today. So eight o'clock, you'll notice temperatures really taking a deep dive, but it doesn't last for too long. Tomorrow, we wake up with fields a little bit more manageable into the twenties. And by Friday and Saturday we're back into swing with the forties and fifties as ultimate high temperatures. Now, what's gonna influence? Of course, a warmth are the winds, the winds will also tack back down heading into the afternoon today and not be as gusty. Now, they will be coming back tomorrow Thursday, but notice a direction here out of the south and southwest that also adds into a little bit more of that warmth and milder feel. Overall, we are tracking some wet weather returning once again, kind of all day, really nuisance rain. We're not looking at significant rain totals for Friday, but of course, you're gonna have to keep your umbrella handy today. It's sunny and still frigid. I know many of us are noticing that layers is really the best way to go and protect ourselves from the cold, cold temperatures into the thirties. Right around five o'clock, the clouds will fall, then they will decrease clearing up for our night sky tonight. Then we'll notice some more clouds just passing on through for Friday. Now, Friday morning, we wake up into the thirties right around lunchtime. We'll notice overcast skies and northern portions getting the showers first. A little bit of a break right between two and four o'clock and then more widespread showers. Belmar to Jackson, expecting a little bit more moderate rainfall clears out nicely by nine o'clock. All in all. We're trending a bit more. We wet, heading into December 9th.

In terms of the weather for that tree lighting to be cold, feels like temperatures, they're going to be in the twenties. So I know layers is always recommended but add an extra thermal layer or two or three because it's going to be blustery. It's going to be cold. Again, these wind gusts not as high as yesterday, but this is enough to make it feel extra cold out there. Again, about 20 MPH gusts into the afternoon and these will continue into the evening as well. That'll make it feels like temperatures quite a bit colder. So later on this morning, even in the next hour or so again, it feels like temperatures no matter where you are 20 or below if you want to pack your lunch right now before you head out the door. So you don't have to be outside an extra bit. That's a recommendation from me because take a look at lunchtime, this is at 12 noon. Feels like temperatures Bay Ridge, 27 Park Slope, same deal Bushwick as well. 27 Sheepshead Bay and Coney Island 27. So it's going to be a cold afternoon, pretty cold evening. As well. So this is at 8 p.m. right before the tree lighting. And again in Manhattan, pretty much same deal, middle and upper twenties for the fields like temperatures 26 for Flatlands, 27 for Bushwick 27 for winds will slowly subside throughout the overnight hours and the temperatures are not going to be as cold tomorrow morning. I'd still classify it as cold but not bitterly cold. So it feels like temperatures out the door. Tomorrow will not be in the teens. There'll be about 26 for Williamsburg, 26 for Bay Ridge, 24 for Flatland. So not as bad and the improvements really get going into the afternoon. Lots of sunshine just started about 32 and we get up well into the forties. So improvements much milder definitely will make it feel better out and about for the afternoon hours getting up to about 47 degrees for the afternoon. But with this warm weather, we see the clouds on the increase and then here comes some showers into the afternoon for Friday. So it's going to be a wet finish to the work week. And after three o'clock expect some more of the showers could be a little bit heavier at times for the evening commute. So definitely keep that in mind for late Friday as well as Friday evening plans weekend. Not too bad, but a little bit more rain late Sunday. All right, Alan, thank you.

If you're heading down to add a little sparkle to the season max. Absolutely. It'll be tightly packed together too, so it'll be a little bit warmer feeling down there. But I mean, this is another cold day and just to kind of point out here today, it's the really cold feel tomorrow a bit better. Still going to be a slight chill in the air for Thursday. We expect there to be a little bit of a chill around this time of the year. Right. We're almost to December after all. But today still feeling like the twenties tomorrow will feel like the upper thirties to low forties into the afternoon. Certainly heading in the right direction tomorrow. In terms of what to wear from here on out today, temperatures at best today are in the thirties, but with that breeze at 10 to 20 MPH, you definitely need the heavy coat, the hat, the gloves, a few extra layers, make sure all the extremities are covered. So you're a bit more comfortable as you even, uh, head to and from the car and that sort of thing, uh, throughout the afternoon, especially if, if you have to be out for any prolonged stretch. If you're working outside or anything like that, you really want to make sure you're covered in multiple layers night tonight. Back down into the mid twenties, the wind thankfully is not too strong overnight. Tonight, it's light at around 5 to 10 MPH, but that's enough to make it feel like the upper teens to lower twenties into early tomorrow morning. So tomorrow afternoon, middle and upper forties for those actual daytime, highs winds at around 5 to 15 MPH can make it feel closer to 40 or so during the afternoon hours. But even still, that's a far cry from the teens and twenties. Those feels like temperatures have been yesterday and today. So I want to also draw your attention to some rain moving in for Friday. This is not a super soaker of a storm or anything like that on Friday and Friday even starts off dry. But as we head towards around noon time on Friday, there will be rain showers developing across the Hudson Valley and this is mostly at worst moderate rain showers. A lot of this will be light and we expect rainfall totals to be around or under a quarter of an inch. With this. This is not a ton of rain, there will not be flooding and think of it as kind of off and on periods of rain from around noon time on Friday through around seven or so in the evening, but this is nothing that's going to really lead to any da damage or anything like that. No, widespread flooding. Just something that we're watching in terms of some on and off periods of showers Friday afternoon and early evening, Saturday. The drier half of the weekend, mostly cloudy, upper forties could be a couple of showers. Sunday. Better chance for showers will actually arrive on Monday if anything, Tuesday of next week, an isolated shower before drier weather pushes right back in for next Wednesday through Friday with highs mostly in the 40.

I'm meteorologist Rich Hoffman, hyperlocal weather forecast. We've had some chilly weather conditions. The last 24 hours we had some snow yesterday. So the cold weather still out there with a high of 39 degrees, kind of mostly sunny to a mixture of sun and clouds. And then tomorrow mostly sunny some afternoon clouds, a high of 48 degrees and we're looking at some fifties heading towards the weekend. So a little bit of that warmer weather coming our way after the deep chill the last 24 hours, you can see feels like temperatures have been in the twenties out there for this afternoon. So cold weather running errands leaving work bundle up. You have the cold numbers, the rest that say feels like temperatures in the twenties. The evening rush hour will be dry with a temperature around 34 degrees in corm 31 at 8 p.m. and down into the twenties when you wake up tomorrow morning. So we have one more morning of the cold weather, wind chills around 20 degrees and you can tomorrow afternoon in Riverhead at one o'clock, it's around 47 degrees sunshine, dry conditions, so some nice weather with that warm up coming away on Thursday before we start to see some wet weather for Friday, a few clouds around four this afternoon, that mixture of sun and clouds, it's breezy and it's cold and you can see now we're dry today. Tomorrow, we're looking at some nice weather. Thursday afternoon, temperatures will be in the mid forties. Some clouds come in Thursday night. And then by Friday morning, we're starting to see more clouds developing not as cold Friday morning. And then for your Friday afternoon, highs will be in the fifties tracking some wet weather. Now, Friday evening, some showers coming in and they're gone rather quickly. It's about a four hour window of some wet weather highs today are in the thirties. It's sun and clouds, it's cold twenties. Four tonight. Fifties. By the time we get towards Friday now, wet weather, more rain, Sunday into Monday.

Another check of the weather. Now with storm watch team, meteorologist, Alex Kalama. Now, Alex yesterday, people even saw some flurries earlier in the day. Are we expecting that or no, no, no flurries today? But officially Central Park did consider it a trace because you saw the flurries, even though it didn't stick, that counted as a trace of snow. But today it's just plain old cold tomorrow morning, pretty chilly too. But tomorrow afternoon, we actually rebound nicely. But then we have to watch plain old rain on Friday the afternoon and the evening you'll need the umbrella. Temperatures are back close to 50 at that point. So it's definitely not going to be anything other than rain. But hey, you know, it's something you'll want to keep in mind the weekend isn't perfect. It's cloudy, but we have a chance for some sprinkles in between those clouds as well. Overall temperatures are going to be milder for the weekend than where we've been. Let's talk today though because we're still on our Wednesday and temperatures are just about as cold as they were yesterday. But the wind is not as bad. We're expecting temperatures to slowly drop into the mid thirties for any late evening plans. It will feel like closer to freezing at that point. In fact, let's talk about the, feels like temperatures because tomorrow morning we're close to 30 on the thermometer, but it does feel like mid twenties. So again, you need the winter jacket, especially early in the day, but maybe just like a light jacket in the afternoon, it's not warm, but it feels like forties and temperatures will be a little bit closer to the 50 degree mark. So tonight, again, dropping near freezing but feels like twenties everywhere. Tomorrow, close to 50 a few spots might hit 50 but I'm expecting most of the afternoon to kind of just be around the mid forties. It's also very sunny too. Today, tomorrow, the air is dry. We really don't have any worries about rain until Friday, probably late afternoon or so. We're starting to see it push through the Bronx around noon time, Friday, just light light showers. The bulk of the rain doesn't come until the later half of the evening. Commute on Friday. This is 5 p.m. and then it's added here by Saturday morning. But you do see it is mainly cloudy on Saturday. So expect those clouds to be pretty widespread Saturday and Sunday. But the rain risk is low, maybe Saturday evening, maybe Sunday night. You see a few showers. Temperatures are not nearly as cold after we get through today though. You see we're back in the forties and fifties, which is about right for this time of the year. All right, Alex.

All right. Let's take a look outside through our community camera in Norwalk Storm Watch team. Meteorologist, Jonathan Cubit. He joins us. Now he's at Orchard Hills Elementary in Milford. Hey, Becky and the kids, they got another reminder for us. They tell us not to forget our. That's right. The coldest weather we've seen so far this season, we've gotten through the worst of it earlier on this morning. But as we progress getting into tonight, one more cold shot, now, temperatures do rebound as we head into your tomorrow as well as your Friday. Unfortunately, we have to wash for showers as we push forward into your Friday night. But after we get through today into your tomorrow again, better weather temperatures starting off in the thirties. We're not going to deal with that biting and chill for your tomorrow morning while you still want to bundle up. We do better heading into your afternoon that high pressures are gonna take over, remain in control. So we're gonna continue with this dry quiet weather. You're just gonna need to grab the coat. So I know it's feeling a little bit more like midwinter for today, but we're back to more seasonal numbers even heading into your Friday. Now, first half of your Friday looks good. We're staying dry. We're actually stepping out the door into some 40 degree weather kind of where we should be for this time of year. But as we head into your afternoon, right around that lunch period, clouds start to fill in and then we're watching for some showers. We'll catch a little bit of a break for that commute home around 45 o'clock for your Friday afternoon. Getting into your Friday evening before we see another round of your showers late Friday evening into your Friday night. So, yeah, maybe date night, maybe dinner night, maybe heading out to the movies. You're definitely gonna wanna grab the umbrella or something with the hood that what weather moves in that week front is gonna produce some showers into your late Friday night before we dry out. Nicely. Heading into the weekend. First half looks good for your Saturday. Still working with some 50 degree weather. I like Saturday a little more than Sunday because it looks like we could see a few more showers in the mix to wrap up the week and looks like an unsettled pattern heading into the first half of next week.
