LIRR: Trains back on track following third rail issues
The Long Island Rail Road is back on track following earlier delays and cancellations Wednesday.
According to the LIRR, the up to 30 minute delays were a result of a damaged third rail west of Jamaica. Almost all trains headed toward the city were forced to stop at Jamaica.
The LIRR says the rail has since been repaired and all trains are running on schedule.
