Long Island Rail Road service on the Port Jefferson line has been restored from Huntington to Port Jefferson after a person was struck by a train.
The 4:55 a.m. train from Port Jefferson due into Long Island City at 6:45 a.m. was delayed near St. James.
A person was struck by a train west of Stony Brook.
Customers were able to use the Huntington or Ronkonkoma branches as an alternative.
