The LIRR is back on schedule after a deadly accident in Suffolk County.

Police tell News 12 Long Island an unidentified person was hit by a train in Brentwood just before 6 a.m.

Train service was suspended on the Ronkonkoma Branch between Ronkonkoma and Hicksville in both directions. In addition, 5th Avenue was also closed between Suffolk Avenue and Pine Aire Drive, but is now reopened.
