Schedule changes are coming to the Long Island Rail Road.
The LIRR says it is going to double the number of direct morning trains from Oyster Bay to Penn Station.
Leaders of the transit agency say the new timetable will increase off-peak service to Penn Station due to demand.
News 12 is told changes will be coming to every line, except for Montauk and Port Washington.
The LIRR says the changes take effect Sept. 3 and will be reflected on the Train Time app In mid-August.
