Santa's sleigh made a pit-stop in Bellmore this weekend.
The Lions Club helped the big guy hand out 2,000 toys to children at the Brookside School.
Children from the Nassau Social Services system were also invited to pick out three toys to take home.
"Families are struggling. Even in our own neighborhoods. Our districts motto, all of us is to give back and serve our community. So this brings forth the mission that we have. Individually and collectively," says North Bellmore Schools Superintendent Marie Testa.
The Lions Club of Bellmore hosts the event every year. Leaders tell News 12 it takes a year to coordinate everything.
