The Lindenhurst School District says it is making changes following a state audit which found that over $130,000 was not properly recorded in its collection logs.

The money was out of more than $300,000 the district collected for its recreational and education programs, according to authorities.

The district says it has fixed the problem and a formal corrective action plan will be filed after the report is finalized.
