A Lindenhurst man is accused of trapping a neighbor’s cat and ditching it in West Islip.   

The Suffolk SPCA says Thomas Scaccia abandoned the 17-year-old feline named Toby by the marina.

News 12 has been told a good Samaritan then found the cat and Toby was reunited with his owner.

Scaccia is charged with animal abandonment and petit larceny and is due in court later this month.
